Shrimp aquaculture plays the key role in Bangladesh seafood export industry. It includes species of Tiger prawn Penaeus monodon, and Giant river Macrobrachium rosenbergii, which have been widely farmed after 1980s. The industry is severely damaged due to diseases outbreaks hatcheries, nurseries grow-out ponds since 2000, thus this sector shows shrinkage from global market. However, last few decades an alternate decapod species, Whiteleg shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei has recognized as most important world-seafood item. very recently introduced with L. for production boost up. This review focusses on current state arts techniques their possible implication farming Bangladesh. Recently, several pilot scale were initiated showed promising ranged 5.0 8.9 MT/ha.
